Free BIMI Checker | Will Your Logo Show in Gmail?
Will your logo show in Gmail?
BIMI puts your logo beside your name in the inbox. More than half the domains that set it up get nothing and never find out. See yours in a mocked inbox row.
Domain to check
Check BIMI
Free, instant, no account. We read public DNS — nothing is sent from your domain.
Most BIMI setups don't work — and the owner never finds out
A missing logo is only visible in other people's inboxes. You can publish a perfect-looking record, pay for a certificate, and get nothing back, with no error anywhere to tell you. When URIports swept the top million domains in January 2025, 5,174 of the 9,661 domains publishing BIMI — 53.6% — had at least one error. A year earlier it was 41.8%, so the failure rate is growing faster than adoption.
- 27.5% of failures: The SVG is the wrong kind
BIMI needs the SVG Tiny PS profile. A logo exported from Illustrator or Figma is not it, and looks completely normal in a browser. - 13.3% of failures: DMARC is still at p=none
No mailbox provider shows a logo unless DMARC is at quarantine or reject. The BIMI record itself validates perfectly while nothing displays. - 11.7% of failures: The logo can't be downloaded
The URL 404s, sits behind a redirect, or was moved during a site rebuild. Nothing warns you when it breaks. - 8.2% of failures: The certificate expired
Mark certificates renew annually. When one lapses the logo simply stops appearing, quietly, on every message you send.
Figures from URIports' 2025 analysis of BIMI across the top one million domains. We report their numbers rather than our own — we have not run that sweep.
Four things have to be true at once
BIMI is not one setting. It is a chain, and the logo only appears when every link holds. The checker above tests all four and tells you which one is missing.
- DMARC at enforcement p=quarantine or p=reject, applied to the domain you actually send from. This is the step most people are stuck on, and it is worth doing whether or not you ever add a logo.
- A logo in SVG Tiny PS: square, with a title element, no scripts, no embedded images, under 32 KB. Your designer's export will need converting.
- A mark certificate: Gmail will not display a logo without one. This is the only part that costs money.
- The BIMI DNS record: A TXT record at default._bimi pointing at the logo and the certificate. The easy part, and the last one.
You no longer need a trademark
This was the blocker for every small brand. A Verified Mark Certificate requires a registered trademark, which is slow and expensive. Since September 2024 Google also accepts a Common Mark Certificate, which asks only that your logo has been in continuous public use for a year — verifiable from web archives.
- Common Mark Certificate: from about $649 / year
No trademark needed. Gets your logo displayed in Gmail. This is the one most small senders want. - Verified Mark Certificate: from about $1,350 / year
Requires a registered trademark. Same logo, plus Gmail's blue verified checkmark, which is tied to the trademark.
We don't sell certificates and we don't earn anything if you buy one. Check the other three steps here first — if your DMARC is at p=none, a certificate buys you nothing yet.
The logo is the visible half. The rest decides whether you arrive.
BIMI does not change how filters treat your mail — we are not going to claim a lift we have not measured. What it requires does matter. Forward one real email and we will tell you how it actually authenticated on arrival, where it landed, and what to fix.
The logo is the visible half. Forward an email for the rest.
BIMI decides what your subscribers see. Authentication decides whether they see anything. Forward one email — verdict in 30 seconds.

Two different tests. Most people mix them up.
If you've ever searched "email tester," half the results check whether the address is valid. We do the other thing — whether the email itself will reach the inbox once you press send.
Address validity
Does this address exist?
You upload a CSV of subscribers. The tool tells you which addresses bounce. Great for cleaning a stale list before a re-engagement send.
- Validates email addresses
- Catches typos and dead domains
- Per-address pricing
Inbox placement
Will Gmail actually show it?
You forward one email — newsletter, launch, client note — to a one-time mailbox. We open it in real Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo and tell you which tab it landed in, plus what to rewrite before you send it to your list.
- Inbox vs. Promotions vs. Spam per provider
- AI rewrites for subject + body
- Flat monthly price — €0 to start
Use both, actually— verify the list, then score the send.

What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is a DNS record that tells Gmail, Apple Mail and Yahoo which logo to show beside your name in the inbox. It is the only part of email authentication your recipients can actually see.
Why is my BIMI logo not showing?
Usually one of four things: DMARC is still at p=none rather than quarantine or reject, the SVG is not in the required SVG Tiny PS profile, the logo file cannot be downloaded, or there is no VMC/CMC certificate. URIports' 2025 sweep of the top million domains found 53.6% of BIMI-publishing domains had at least one error, up from 41.8% a year earlier.
Do I need a trademark for BIMI?
Not any more. A Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) requires a registered trademark, but since September 2024 Google also accepts a Common Mark Certificate (CMC), which only requires that the logo has been in continuous public use for at least a year. A CMC gets you the logo; only a VMC earns Gmail's blue checkmark.
How much does BIMI cost?
The DNS record and the SVG cost nothing. The certificate does: CMCs list from roughly $649/year and VMCs from roughly $1,350/year depending on the certificate authority. This checker is free and will tell you whether everything else is in place before you spend anything.
Does BIMI improve deliverability?
Not directly, and we will not claim a number we have not measured. BIMI does not change how filters treat your mail. What it requires — DMARC at enforcement — does matter, and the logo itself is a recognition and trust signal in a crowded inbox.
Three steps. About thirty seconds, end to end.
01~10 sec
You forward it.
Paste the mailbox above into the test-send field in Beehiiv, Kit, Substack, Mailchimp — or your own inbox. Hit go. We never see your subscriber list.
02~10 sec
We actually open it.
In real Gmail, real Outlook, real Yahoo. We watch where your email lands — Primary, Promotions, or Spam — using the same filters that decide whether your campaign worked.
03~10 sec
You get a report.
Plain English. Three things to change, in priority order. Unlock the bundle and we generate a subject, body, and CTA rewrite in your voice — paste them back into your campaign before lunch.
